Reading is Fun-damental
The Kiwanis Breakfast Club of Seminole has been conducting its Pre-School Reading Program since 1997. Quarterly our Kiwanis Club members, along with other community volunteers, visit local pre-schools to read to the students.
In 2012, the Kiwanis Breakfast Club of Seminole became an educational partner with six local elementary schools by participating in a new Adopt-A-School Program. The six schools are: Anona, Bauder, Oakhurst, Orange Grove, Seminole, and Madeira Beach Fundamental.
KBCS serves free lunches for all Special Olympians, coaches and volunteers who participate in the annual Pinellas County Regional Basketball competition held in December.
This project involves the placement of clothing recycling boxes at non-profit organizations in the city of Seminole and at businesses (for profit & non-profit) located in the surrounding municipalities south of Ulmerton Road in Pinellas County.
Approximately 37,000 hotcakes served and counting during the city’s annual Pow Wow Festival! 100% of the net proceeds received from our Pancake Day are used to support our numerous community service projects through our club’s 501(c) (3) non-profit foundation.
